MISSION STATEMENT:
The Czech Business Association of Canada is a not-for-profit organization that serves as platform for Czech and Slovak community in Calgary. It promotes Czech business and culture by organizing regular networking meetings with business presentations as well as cultural events. and Canada.

HISTORY:
The Czech Business Association of Canada was officially established in 1999. The organization has its roots as the Alberta Chapter of Canadian Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce (CCRCC). The Alberta Chapter of CCRCC was created in 1995 with the purpose of becoming a communication portal between individuals and companies doing business or interested in doing business between the Czech Republic and Canada. In 1999, the Alberta Chapter of CCRCC voted to sever its association with CCRCC Toronto and set up a new entity. This new entity was called Czech Business Association of Western Canada, which was a not-for-profit Association created for the purpose of promoting Canada-Czech Republic business ties in Western Canada.
In 2004, Czech Business Association of Western Canada changed its name to Czech Business Association of Canada to properly reflect the current organization which includes a Canada wide membership roster and business activities.

GOALS & OBJECTIVES:
• to promote Czech goods and services in Canada and United States
• to encourage foreign investment in the Czech Republic and Canada
• to assist Canadian companies in finding markets for their products in the Czech Republic
• to offer education, information and opportunities pertaining to international trade to our members
• to assist our members in finding business partners
• liaise with representatives of the governments of the Czech Republic and Canada

SERVICES:
• access to business information (trade and investment opportunities)
• organization of trade missions with facilitation and/or event management
• government liaison (all levels of Czech and Canadian governments)
• liaison with other business associations
• website advertising
• seminars on international trade topics
• networking opportunities and social events

The board of directors of the Czech Business Association of Canada (“CBAC”) is committed to the concept of health and safety of its members and participants in all their activities. The activities organized by the CBAC are conducted in accordance with all relevant by-laws and regulations known to the board members. However, all members and participants should be aware that their participation in CBAC activities is solely at their risk and shall indemnify all members of the CBAC board from any liabilities and/or lawsuits.
